Yes. Research has shown that home and businesses are on average three times less likely to be burgled when they have an alarm system or security camera system (CCTV). To ensure greater safety, a security system must include at a minimum:
- Detection devices that are installed to cover all access points (i.e. security camera or motion sensor)
- A backup battery or Uninterruptable Power Supply (UPS) incase of power failure

Yes. When the power in your business or home is interrupted, your alarm system will continue to operate on its internal back-up battery for approximately three to four hours (depending on how many security devices are installed).
If you would like to prevent your security camera system (CCTV) from a power failure, Permaguard recommends the installation of an Uninterruptable Power Supply (UPS) to ensure your system continues to record footage.
Yes. This is made possible through “pet-immune” security detection devices (or motion sensors) that are designed for homeowners with animals. Pet-immune motion sensors are tolerant of animals weighing up to 38 kg.
